Woman Accused of Slapping Driver in McDonald's Drive-Thru for Taking Too Long
Police said Constance Cota, 39, was charged with second-degree harassment after allegedly striking a driver in a drive-thru over an order delay.
On June 24, the Gouverneur Police Department arrested Constance Cota, 39, after she allegedly slapped a fellow patron at a McDonald's drive-thru in Gouverneur, New York.
Early on June 20, Cota allegedly became upset because she felt the driver in front of her was not moving quickly enough while waiting for his food at the drive-thru.
According to police, Cota exited her vehicle and walked to the driver's side of the car ahead, then allegedly struck the man across the face, resulting in a second-degree harassment charge.
Cota was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Gouverneur Town Court at a later date to answer the harassment charge.
The Gouverneur Police Department released details via a public arrest report and incident summary posted on its official Facebook page.
