COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ) A fire that occurred Monday morning at a duplex in northern Columbia was ruled accidental, according to a press release from the Columbia Fire Department. Columbia firefighters say Monday morning’s fire at a single-story duplex on North Willowbrook drive was an accidental fire that started in a clothes dryer. While the two occupants declined medical care after the fire, CFD says one cat died and that two kittens are unaccounted for.
