Daryl Steinhoff claimed a $2 million prize after matching five white balls in the Labor Day Powerball drawing, taking home $1.4 million post taxes.

The North Carolina Education Lottery has reported on a big Powerball win by a Johnston County man. Daryl Steinhoff, of Clayton, put together some family numbers for a Powerball ticket in Monday’s drawing and they won him a $2 million prize. “The next day I got an email saying that I won something,” recalled Steinhoff.
