NORTH CAROLINA, UNITED STATES, JUL 10 – North Carolina earned 1,614 points out of 2,500 from CNBC, driven by strong workforce, economic growth, and bipartisan business-friendly policies, creating over 20,000 jobs.
- On July 10, 2025, CNBC named North Carolina the top state for business, surpassing Texas, Florida, Virginia and Ohio.
- Since 2011, the Republican-led General Assembly reshaped the business climate through tax cuts, regulatory cuts, and educational support, earning top survey spots in recent years.
- According to a press release, Gov. Josh Stein’s announcements generated nearly $17 billion in investment and over 20,000 jobs, while CNBC highlighted JetZero’s factory plan and Amazon’s $10 billion data center project.
