Norovirus discovered in Zuyderland hospital Heerlen
The Zuyderland hospital in Heerlen has been hit by the norovirus. As a result, an admission stop has been announced in two departments, which means that no new patients are being admitted. Eight operations were cancelled on Friday as a result of the outbreak. This is due to the measures taken because of the outbreak and which have led to a shortage of bed capacity. Emergency operations will continue as normal, the hospital announced on Saturday.
