The best ski jumpers, cross-country skiers and Nordic combined skiers will compete for medals at the 2031 World Championships in Germany.
Oberstdorf, Germany, won the bid to host the 2031 Nordic World Ski Championships in a duel with Planica, the International Ski Federation announced today. Oberstdorf received 16 votes, while Planica received six.
A month ago the award had been postponed, now it is fixed: Oberstdorf becomes host of the Nordic Ski World Championships 2031. Ten years after the Corona World Championships, spectators should now also be possible.
After the Nordische Ski-WM 2031 was awarded in June, Oberstdorf can breathe out. The FIS-Council now votes with a large majority for the Allgäu municipality as the venue for the competitions. FIS President Alexander Ospelt is pleased.
The International Ski Federation (FIS) has chosen Oberstdorf to host the 2031 World Ski Championships.
