- Nolo previously skirted Hawaii as a hurricane a week ago, then weakened into a tropical storm before regaining hurricane strength yesterday as it continued westward.
- Located about 210 miles south-southwest of Maro Reef, the storm moves westward at 17 mph through the remote Pacific Ocean.
- The Miami-based National Hurricane Center issued a tropical storm warning for the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National Monument from Maro Reef to Lisianski Island, as large surf will likely inundate low-lying atolls.
- Nolo is expected to cross westward tomorrow, while Category 1 hurricane Rachel continues heading westward on a path away from the west coast of Mexico.
