Noah Kahan Asks Fans to Stop Stealing Strafford Road Sign Linked to His Song
The singer asked fans to stop taking the sign and said he would pay for replacements after repeated thefts upset local residents.
On Friday, Grammy-nominated artist Noah Kahan posted a statement on Instagram Stories urging fans to stop stealing the Alger Brook Road sign in his hometown of Strafford, Vermont, calling the repeated theft "total disrespect."
The road gained fame after Kahan referenced it in his 2022 song "The View Between Villages," which details his upbringing in rural Vermont, prompting fans to repeatedly remove the street sign.
Kahan apologized to the community, offering to pay for replacement signs and asking Strafford residents to contact him or his mother to "discuss potential solutions" for the ongoing issue.
Addressing the growth of his fanbase, Kahan concluded, "This community has grown much larger and for that reason I feel I should again remind you all about how deeply protective I am over my family's privacy."
The Grammy-nominated artist has seen his popularity surge following the release of his fourth studio album, The Great Divide, earlier this year and is now preparing for a sold-out world tour.
