- The hospital stated that at the time of the incident, the emergency department was well-stocked with essential items such as gloves, resuscitation tools, medications, patient trolleys, and wheelchairs, while discussions with staff and other parties are still in progress.
- Obadiah Gana, the hospital's Public Relations Officer, stated the management is committed to transparency and will provide a full report once the ongoing investigation is completed.
- The investigation's outcome may affect public trust and policy on medical negligence, a persistent concern exemplified by past cases, including a 2016 patient death at FMC Abuja.
