For the first time since 2018, the men's world rankings no longer lead Chinese. Only two of them are still in the top ten. A snapshot – or is the overwhelming dominance crumbling?
Since 2000, only four players have been at the top of the world rankings that do not come from China. One of them was the Austrian Werner Schlager.
The world of elite sports has just witnessed an incredibly unbelievable event in table tennis, as the men's singles world rankings released this week no longer include any Chinese players in the top 3.
Sora Matsushima led the world's ITTF rating, Felix Lebren and Tomokaz Harimoto locked up three leaders, and Chinese Van Chucin took fourth place.
