No charges for N.J. state trooper in fatal collision with motorcyclist

A state grand jury has voted not to file criminal charges against a state trooper in a crash that resulted in the death of a motorcycle driver. The collision, which happened on April 9 of last year, involved Trooper Anthony Fernandes and resulted in the death of 65-year-old motorcyclist Frank Lando, Jr., of Toms River, the state Attorney General’s Office said. Jury deliberations concluded on Monday.
