Toccoa, Ga.----The No. 1 Wingate University women's golf team finished seventh in the 17-team Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational Tuesday. The Bulldogs shot a 304 Tuesday and a 294 Sunday for a 36-hole total of 598. Anderson University hosted this event at the Currahee Golf Club.

TOCCOA, GA - The Lenoir-Rhyne women's golf team put together one of their most impressive showings in recent history on Tuesday, as they shot an incredible 287 (-1) in the second round of the Ralph Hayes Toyota D2 Elite Invitational to jump from 12th to 3rd. The Bears, who went 308-287 (595, +19), were the only team to go under par in the second round and were the best on the day by nine strokes.

The Lions finished 13th in a competitive field with a total score of 620 (301–319). The second round of play was canceled due to inclement weather, shortening the tournament to two rounds.
