A long-cherished community event in Gloucester Township has been canceled this year after threats of “unlawful and violent activity” surfaced online, according to officials.Gloucester Township Day, an annual carnival-like event with rides, games, and entertainment, was scheduled for June 7 this year. However, the decision was made to nix the event in “the interest of public safety,” township officials said in a cancellation notice.
