N.J. mother dies after man who abducted her son assaulted her, police say

A mother who was assaulted by a man when he abducted her 3-year-old son in Paterson last month has died of her injuries, officials said.Authorities didn’t identify the woman but a Paterson police spokesman said Matthew Vega was charged with assault prior to her death.
