N.J. man who threatened to kill a child attacked cops during his arrest, officials say

A New Jersey man is facing several criminal charges after he injured a police officer while being arrested at the Somerville Train Station on Friday. Derick Donel Lewis Jr., 35, of Bridgeton, was taken into custody following the struggle, the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement on Friday. He was being placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for his arrest on a robbery charge and for a domestic violence incident.
