Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced Friday that her administration will delay implementing New Jersey’s controversial new flood and land-use rules, after months of pressure from business groups, local officials and lawmakers despite warnings from environmental advocates that the regulations are urgently needed to address rising seas and worsening flooding.
