Emerson “Bryce” Tate, a 15-year-old student at Nitro High School, died by suicide on Nov. 6. According to the investigators, it was a rapid online sextortion scheme that targeted him the same afternoon. Deputies who responded to 911 calls that evening found Bryce at his Cross Lanes home.
