A major tragedy was narrowly avoided Thursday afternoon when a large tree suddenly collapsed onto a school bus carrying children on South Cole Avenue near Route 59 at approximately 2:00 p.m. The falling tree heavily damaged the school bus as well as multiple parked vehicles in the area.
