Most of the vacancies to be filled are in the polytechnics and in the interior. Lisbon and Porto have occupancy rates above 95%; Bragança, Beja and Viseu are below 50%.
While 871 courses filled all available vacancies, 52 others did not put any students
More than 9,000 students were placed in a higher education institution in the second phase of the national access competition, with 4,069 vacancies remaining, most of them in the interior of the country, according to data from the Ministry of Education.
Institutions made available about 13,000 places, but remained unoccupied 4,069, with the vast majority (76.3%) in training offered by polytechnic institutes and in the interior of the country.
