- Director-General Arc Umar Mohammed identified Bauchi State as having 1,841 at-risk communities, while Imo State, Kaduna, Plateau, and Benue also face significant exposure with 415, 168, 205, and five communities respectively.
- In Edo State, 148 communities, 131 schools, and 123 health facilities face exposure, while hydrological monitoring stations at Saminara on the Karam River and Waya Dam Site report elevated water levels.
- Mohammed urged the National Emergency Management Agency and State Emergency Management Agencies to begin immediate evacuations and pre-position food, medical supplies, and clean water in safe locations.
- With 16 gauging stations recording elevated water levels, localized flooding appears likely along major river channels, requiring residents and authorities to take immediate action to safeguard property and lives.
