- On Sunday, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke led a high-level Programme Management Review with United States Government senior officials and Bell Textron Incorporated to accelerate delivery of 12 AH-1Z Viper helicopters to the Nigerian Air Force.
- In a statement on Thursday, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame said the acquisition is a critical capability enhancement aligned with the CAS command philosophy of building a motivated, professional, mission-ready force.
- Aneke praised partner professionalism and said the NAF review reflects deliberate emphasis on programme discipline, accountability and measurable results, urging the programme management team to meet timelines and standards.
- The NAF pledged to take all necessary measures, with Air Marshal Aneke charging the programme management team to work proactively to complete production on schedule and within budget, reassuring the US team of expedited delivery.
