The Allied People's Movement (APM) has condemned the Presidency's attack on the Archbishop Emeritus of Abuja, Cardinal John Onaiyekan, over his comments on the country's prevailing economic situation under the present administration.
The interview, in which Cardinal John Onaiyekan reveals the content of a recent meeting between the Head of State and a delegation of Catholic dignitaries, was very badly received by the presidency, which strongly denounced such a public statement. The matter has now also sparked important debates among candidates for the presidential election next January.
