Nichols embraces nature to tackle flooding with new stormwater park

NICHOLS, S.C. (WBTW) -- The small town of Nichols is building a new nature-based stormwater park to help mitigate flood damage. The town says the development idea is in response to flooding damage caused over the years, most notably from hurricanes Matthew in 2016 and Florence in 2018.
