- An NHRC bench headed by Priyank Kanoongo directed the Chief Secretary to submit a "state-wide, district-wise and school-wise" compliance report within four weeks per proceedings dated August 18.
- The Commission called upon the Ministry of Education to "examine and report" on implementation patterns, while informing the Ministry of Home Affairs to take appropriate action on the alleged disparities.
- State authorities must clarify whether "district-wise disparity" was noticed and explain if the "alleged non-observance or inadequate observance, if established, had any bearing upon the educational, social and cultural development of the children concerned.
