Chiefs Reportedly Send 2028 Draft Pick to Giants for Offensive Lineman Joshua Ezeudu
Kansas City adds veteran offensive line depth as the Giants get a 2028 seventh-round pick and move a former third-round selection.
On Tuesday, the Kansas City Chiefs acquired offensive guard Joshua Ezeudu from the New York Giants, sending a 2028 seventh-round draft pick to New York in the exchange.
Kansas City sought to bolster offensive line depth to protect quarterback Patrick Mahomes following last year's season-ending injury and recent preseason penalty struggles.
Drafted in 2022, the 26-year-old Ezeudu has appeared in 33 games for the Giants, missing the entire 2025 season due to a calf injury.
Trading Ezeudu provided the Giants with draft capital for a player not guaranteed a spot on the final 53-man roster.
Head coach John Harbaugh praised Ezeudu's versatility, noting the lineman's ability to play both guard and tackle positions aligns with Kansas City's roster priorities.
