NEXCOM Delivers Optimized Edge Security for Post-Quantum Workloads
The compact 1U platform uses Intel Xeon 6 and QuickAssist Technology to support up to 3.5K connections per second per core.
On Wednesday, NEXCOM International launched the FTA 5190 edge server, a platform purpose-built for advanced cybersecurity workloads and next-generation post-quantum cryptography encryption requirements.
Advancing quantum computing capabilities threaten current encryption methods, forcing organizations to adopt PQC algorithms that require larger key sizes and more complex computations than traditional cryptography.
The FTA 5190 utilizes Intel Xeon 6 SoC with up to 36 performance cores and supports up to 128GB DDR5 memory, leveraging Intel QuickAssist Technology for cryptographic acceleration.
Performance testing validates up to 3.5K connections per second per core with PQC algorithms, while delivering 2.1x higher TLS throughput and 2x performance improvement with traditional cryptography.
Through its Network and Communication Solutions unit, NEXCOM delivers AI-powered platforms that empower customers to build resilient, high-performance networks for tomorrow's connectivity challenges.
