News from Juliomagus to the Royal Riding Academy: Excavations reveal the history of a district of Angers (Maine-et-Loire)

Since the end of November 2024, an Inrap team has been conducting a search behind the fire station of the Académie Square in Angers, as part of Alter's project to refurbish the district for Angers Loire Métropole. Located in the historic centre, 150 metres from the castle, the excavation contains numerous remains that allow us to trace the history of the district from the beginning of Antiquity to the present day.
