A team of the Inrap searched a plot of 3,750 m2 at the Hermitage in the slopes of the dominant hill Alès. Driven on the prescription of the state (Drac Occitanie), the intervention took place between February and June 2025. Research reveals a dense and continuous occupation between the 2nd century and the 6th century AD. Among the discoveries, a remarkably well-preserved mosaic has recently been discovered.
