Newly unveiled Charlie Kirk statue vandalized at Turning Point USA headquarters
Phoenix police are investigating after red spray paint covered the eight-foot memorial and a nearby sign, while TPUSA reviews surveillance video.
- A statue honoring late activist Charlie Kirk at Turning Point USA's headquarters in Phoenix was found vandalized Sunday morning. The eight-foot monument, unveiled just days prior, was defaced with red paint.
- TPUSA installed the statue Thursday to mark the one-year anniversary of Kirk's death. The conservative activist was shot and killed at a Turning Point USA event in Utah last year.
- Officers arrived at 4900 E. Beverly Road just before 9 a.m. after receiving reports of the damage. Investigators found red paint on the statue and a nearby memorial poster featuring scrawled, unreadable words.
- Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to contact Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS. TPUSA officials were not immediately available to provide comment on the defaced memorial.
- Located in the Ahwatukee Foothills near Baseline Road, the site remains under investigation with no identified suspects. The defacement marks a significant security incident at the conservative organization's Phoenix headquarters.
