New York Attorney General Uses Scare Tactics to Publicize Fentanyl Busts

On October 7, New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) announced the arrests of 17 people across the central region of the state, as well as the seizure of guns, $880,000 in cash, and fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine allegedly worth $782,000.  The eight month-long investigation was coordinated by the AG’s Organized Crime Task Force and was part of the Suburban and Upstate Response to the Growing Epidemic Initiative (SURGE).
