New Woodland-style mural celebrates Indigenous community, belonging in Waterloo

Summary by CBC News
Bright pink, cheerful orange and soft lilac purple glow against the dark pavement in Waterloo Town Square. It's a freshly-painted mural by mixed-Algonquin artist Maddie Bernard-Resmer, who the City of Waterloo commissioned to create the artwork in the heart of uptown. The mural will be unveiled on Sunday for National Indigenous Peoples Day. CBC K-W's Aastha Shetty spoke to Bernard-Resmer as they put the finishing touches on the mural.
