Russia Designates Tufts University ‘Undesirable’ Organization
Russia’s General Prosecutor’s Office on Tuesday designated Tufts University and its Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy as “undesirable” organizations. The designation effectively bans the U.S.-based private research university and the graduate school from having any presence in Russia.
The Russian Attorney General's Office has declared "undesired" in the territory of the country the activities of the American University of Tufts and the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, which are available on the agency's website.
Russia's Gen-Procuracy has recognized the "undesired" activities of the Tufts University University and its School of International Relations, Fletcher School, as reported on the agency's website. "From the beginning of the "special military operation" – so the Russian authorities call the full-scale invasion of Ukraine – the university and the school from the scientific centres have been transformed into an anti-Russian propaganda tool.
