Prime Video Expands Add-Ons in Denmark, Norway, Switzerland
The package is 23% cheaper than buying the two streaming services separately, and Prime Video says it expands access to premium programming and anime.
- Beginning Wednesday, Starz and Crunchyroll launched a joint bundle via Prime Video, marking the first such team-up for Crunchyroll, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment.
- Crunchyroll hit 21 million subscribers earlier this year, up from 5 million when Sony acquired it in 2021, while Starz ended 2025 with 17.6 million subscribers after splitting from Lionsgate.
- For $16.99 a month, subscribers access the package via Prime, which is 23% cheaper than stand-alone costs. Starz has also partnered with Peacock to make its app available for sign-up.
- Matt Huntley, Director of Prime Video Channels, said the launch "Reflects Prime Video." Alison Hoffman, President of Starz Networks, added the offering "brings together two services with distinctive programming."
- Terry Li, Chief Product Officer and EVP of Emerging Business at Crunchyroll, called the bundle a "meaningful step" in expanding how fans connect with series as streaming discovery evolves.
