President Lai Ching-te announced today 18 new strategies from the government to address the challenges of a declining birth rate and demographic structure, with an estimated annual budget increase of NT$205 billion, bringing the total investment to NT$380 billion. The Executive Yuan will also establish a new population strategy implementation task force, chaired by Premier Cho Jung-tai, to track the progress of policy implementation.
