Nissan Reveals New Photos of the Next-Gen LEAF EV and Confirms Its Global Debut
- Nissan revealed new photos and details of its third-generation LEAF EV ahead of a global reveal later in June 2025.
- The update follows a shift from the original hatchback form to a crossover SUV format responding to changing consumer preferences.
- The updated LEAF boasts improved aerodynamics with a drag coefficient as low as 0.25 in Europe and 0.26 in the US and Japan, includes a panoramic electrochromic glass roof, and is equipped with a built-in NACS port to enable Tesla Supercharger compatibility.
- Nissan claims a maximum WLTP driving range near 373 miles , with North American EPA estimates expected closer to 300 miles, marking a substantial range increase over the 2025 LEAF SV Plus’s 212 miles.
- Nissan plans to manufacture the new LEAF alongside the electric Juke at its Sunderland plant with a market launch scheduled by the end of 2025.
