NEW Party leader Özgür Özel called on the people of Üsküdar to attend a rally tomorrow following the Üsküdar mayoral election, which passed to the AKP due to two CHP members being in prison and therefore unable to vote.
The arrest and removal from office of Üsküdar Mayor Sinem Dedetaş, followed by the re-election of the acting mayor and the transfer of municipal administration to the AK Party, will be protested. The NEW Party will hold a rally on September 12th at Üsküdar Pier Square under the slogan "The Decision Belongs to the Nation, Üsküdar Belongs to the Nation." NEW Party leader Özgür Özel will also attend the gathering.
