The public space near Beacon Hill Park was officially unveiled Oct. 3

[Victoria, Kyodo] A memorial commemorating Japanese Canadians who were forcibly relocated during the war was unveiled on the 3rd in Victoria, the capital of British Columbia, western Canada. The memorial bears the names of approximately 22,000 Japanese Canadians and about 3,000 people born during the period of forced relocation.
