Antwerp, Leuven and Brussels Airport are now directly connected to Germany via a new ICE high-speed train service. The first train arrived at Antwerp Central this morning, following stops at Brussels Airport and Leuven. The trains will now run twice a day in both directions between Antwerp and Cologne.
With the latest ICE, the railway wants to score points in long-distance traffic. The new offer is also intended to attract Cologne holidaymakers who want to go to far-away countries.

From today, Cologne and Antwerp are directly connected by train. The new ICE connection runs via Aachen, Liège, Leuven, and Brussels Airport. Two trains run back and forth daily between Cologne Hauptbahnhof and Antwerp Central.
From now on, travellers to Brussels Airport will come directly to the terminal by train. This is made possible by a new cooperation between Deutsche Bahn and Brussels Airlines, which combines the train journey and the flight in a common ticket.
