Changes affecting various vehicle-related procedures and the Florida DMV came into effect on Thursday, October 1.
SB 488, which has been in effect since Thursday in Florida, requires a foreign passport plus I-94 to register a vehicle and eliminates the use of family address.
The change does not make confidential the entire file of a person in the DMV. The new protection is limited to the email address that the agency collects to communicate with its customers.
