New fires force evacuations across Gila NF - Silvercity Daily Press

By JUNO OGLE Daily Press Staff The Trout Fire, which started Thursday morning north of Silver City near N.M. 15, has grown rapidly in hot, dry conditions, charring more than 2,100 acres by midmorning Friday and prompting an evacuation advisory Friday afternoon for the Lake Roberts area.
