New figures show utilities debt tops £7 billion as GDP falls

The National Audit Office found that household debt owed to energy, water and broadband firms has more than doubled since 2021, now climbing past £7 billion. The report also found that millions of eligible households are not receiving or are not even aware of the support they are entitled to.
