The European Union will apply a new processing fee to small packages from 1 November onwards, other than the three euro tariff which entered into force in July.
Trading platforms outside the European Union will be responsible for customs formalities, payment of duties, and compliance of products sold with EU requirements. The EU Council approved the largest reform of EU customs regulations in decades. The new regulations will apply to platforms such as Temu, Shein, and AliExpress, among others.
