“I think that the Ombudsman plays a very important role here, as the main guarantor of good administration in the European framework, to try, in some way, to be a bridge between citizens and institutions” and to “guarantee this flow of communication, this awareness of rights, namely through the possibility of filing complaints, which is an act of participatory democracy”, said Teresa Anjinho in an interview with the Lusa agency in Brussels.
