The European Union has begun implementing new rules on the import of cheap parcels from outside the EU. The changes aim to limit the price advantage of foreign e-commerce platforms and increase control over products entering the market.
Those who regularly order from cheap online shops outside the EU have to prepare for an important innovation: since 1 July 2026, a flat-rate customs fee of three euros per article has been applied for goods with a value of up to 150 euros.
