Smartphones, laptops and tablets end up en masse on waste mountains and even partly in incinerators, while they could still be easily repaired. According to research by CE Delft, commissioned by Natuur & Milieu, it should be possible with targeted government policy to repair or "refurbish" an additional 800,000 mobile phones for a next round.
