Australian regulator appoints Sarah Court as new chair

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has appointed Sarah Court as its new chair. Ms Court will become the first female head of ASIC, having served as deputy hair since 2021. Her appointment was announced by Australian Treasurer Jim Chalmers, and she will begin her five-year term as chair on June 1 2026.
