New CCTV images released in hunt for murderer and second prisoner at large after New Year's Day escape
Police released CCTV of two dangerous prisoners who escaped HMP Leyhill on New Year's Day; one man was arrested and returned to custody, police said.

- On Saturday 3 January, two men matching the descriptions were pictured in Ashley Road, Bristol at about 10.35am, and on Sunday 4 January a man wearing a burgundy coat was captured on Filton Road, Gloucester Road North, and later seen in Patchway at about 11.05-11.15am.
- Aaron Thomas, 39, was arrested on Saturday in Bristol, charged with escaping lawful custody, appeared in court yesterday, and is due before magistrates on Monday.
- Robert Jenrick, MP told MPs the escape showed `breathtaking incompetence` and warned `A murderer is on the loose` during a Commons urgent question on Monday.
