Previous attempts to hold a referendum on the tram in Uppsala have been voted down. But Jonas Segersam (KD) is not giving up – he has submitted another motion for a referendum to the city council. – The 2026 election will be the last chance if you want to stop the tram, he says.

Once again, a referendum on the tram is on the table. This time the proposal comes from the Christian Democrats. “We still don't think the citizens have had their say,” says Jonas Segersam (KD). But he himself calls it a blow in the air.
