The city is renovating the more than 1000-year-old Perlach tower for nine million euros. For this purpose, a crane lifts the tower onion from the walls in a spectacular action – after a breakdown had occurred before.
On Thursday morning, the landmark's dome will be removed and placed in front of the town hall. This isn't the first intervention in its 1,000-year history.
