New agreement allows South Korean firm to repair US Army Chinooks

SOUTH KOREA, JUL 24 – The agreement aims to improve U.S. military readiness by enabling a South Korean firm to maintain over 5,700 aircraft engines, reducing repair time and logistical costs in the Indo-Pacific region.

The U.S. and South Korean militaries have agreed to allow a South Korean defense firm to service the T-55 engines on U.S. Army Chinook helicopters.
